baked buffalo ranch wings

Who loves buffalo wings? Who loves ranch? Who pretends to watch the Super Bowl but really just grazes the food table every few minutes, sometimes inattentively looking up to ask, “so, when does the match begin?” while pointing at the players on the field. Who gets banned to the kids table for asking questions like this? Who doesn’t care because that means you dont have to pretend anymore and can instead just eat wings? Me. It’s me.

INGREDIENTS

Buffalo Ranch Wings

  • 4 lbs chicken wings, defrosted

  • 2 cups buffalo wing sauce

  • 1 packet of ranch dressing seasoning

  • 1/3 cup apple cider vinegar

  • Chives

  • Salt and pepper to taste

Blue Cheese Dip

  • 1/2 cup blue cheese crumbles

  • 1/4 cup mayo

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 1 tsp minced garlic

  • Salt and pepper to taste (may not want to add salt, so taste first!)

INSTRUCTIONS

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.

Line a cookie sheet with parchment paper and put a wire rack on top. This way, as the chicken wings cook, any juice will drip onto the parchment paper and create a crispier wing.

Line the chicken wings on the wire rack. Once preheated, bake for 50 minutes, flipping once or twice throughout the baking.

After 50 minutes, put the oven on broil and cook until the wings are golden brown. It took about 7-10 minutes for me, but keep a close eye on it.

Once they’re golden, take them out and let them cool a bit.

In a large bowl, mix together the buffalo wing sauce, ranch seasoning, apple cider vinegar, salt, and pepper.

Dip the wings in the sauce and put on a platter. Chop the chives for the top.

For the blue cheese dip, mix together all ingredients and chill until ready to serve!
